1918-07-27: Gorman died in RE-8, B-5029: Machine RE-8, E-152, piloted by Second Lieutenant Reuben John Davidson, in tail position of a diamond formation, lost height on a turn and collided with Gorman's machine causing it to crash. Gorman and Davidson are buried beside each other at All Saints, Yatesbury. Both were alone in their aircraft.
