1917-10-17: Fleming was missing in FE2b, A-801; from a bombing raid. His air-gunner, 2Lt Ernest Cecil Stewart Ringer was also missing. Later that day they were reported shot down and both made POWs. Fleming was repatriated 1918-12-05.
