1918-01-06: Egner died in RE-8, B-5035 when it collided in mid-air with RE-8, B-6493; and crashed near Molliens au Bois. His observer/air-gunner, Maj. Richard Nagle Ford (British) also died in the crash.
The crash report states that the pilot of B-6493, name not mentioned, also died.
