1917-07-28: On their 6th pass across the lines on a photography mission an AA shell exploded directly under Dracup's observer position. The pilot, 2LT George Norman Goldie, (British) was also wounded and immediately returned to the aerodrome. Dracup died shortly after being removed from the aircraft. The pilot recovered
