126 Squadron (Foremost on Attack) Luqa, Malta. Flying Officer GG Davidson (RCAF) was missing, presumed killed when his Spitfire Vb aircraft EP 310 was shot down in aerial combat over Sicily

Flying Officer Davidson has no known grave and is commemorated on the Malta War Memorial

Flying Officer Davidson took part in the Dieppe raid and shot down two German FW-190 aircraft. Shortly after Dieppe a fellow Canadian pilot was flying at night and reported he had lost all his instruments. Davidson went up in another aircraft and guided his friend safely back to his home airfield
