First Burial

Cleghorn was killed in action on 1918-10-02 when his DH-9 was shot down during a food drop to surrounded troops at Stadenburg. He and his gunner/observer Lt Frederick Harry Stringer (British) were both missing, presumed dead. Gunner Stringer survived the crash and was made POW, repatriated 1918-12-13.
