Lapugnoy Military Cemetery
Chadwick's regular pilot 2Lt LT Angstrom was wounded in their morning patrol. The aircraft was not badly damaged and so 2Lt R Sherwell (British) took over as pilot for the second patrol. They were badly shot through during a running fight on a bombing run and were brought down near Cambrai. Chadwick died of his wounds. The pilot survived.
