1918-07-12: Calverley was flying DH.6 C-7258 when he was in collision with DH.6 C-5482, (piloted by AM1 Percy James Morgan, British student pilot, also flying solo) at 700 feet altitude. Both aircraft plunged to the ground, both pilots were killed. It is not known who hit whom.
