It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. 73 Squadron (Tutor Et Ultor) Spitfire VB aircraft ER 914 lost during a fighter sweep strafing enemy aircraft on the ground at Karlovas, Crotia, Yugoslavia. Spirfire ER 914 was hit by flak and crashed. Flight Lieutenant FC Bremner (RCAF) was killed. He was the brother of Sergeant DAE Bremner (RCAF), 131 Sqn, killed 1941-10-23
