190 Squadron (Ex Tenebris) RAF Fairford, Stirling IV aircraft EF 263 L9-W lost towing gliders during a supply drop at Arnhem, Gelderland. The aircraft received a direct hit from flak and crashed near the Ruwenbergstraat road, Sint-Michielsgestel, Noord-Brabant, Holland. FS GS Breckels (RCAF), FS WC Moss (RAFVR) Sergeant GL Wood (RAFVR), FS SV Davis (RAFVR), FS JG Jeffery (RAFVR), Warrant Officer SH Coeshott (RAF), Private J Cadle RASC, and Private G Courtney RASC were all killed. Flight Sergeant Air Gunner Breckels is buried in Roman Catholic and Protestant Cemetery at St Michielsgestel, North Brabant, Holland.
