It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. 51 Squadron (Swift And Sure) RAF Dishforth, Whitley V aircraft Z 9920 MH-V lost over the North Sea east of Flamboro, England. FS AT Bradly (RCAF), Sergeant CA Guan (RAAF), Sergeant W Bourke (RAAF), Sergeant GO Williams (RAFVR) and Sergeant S Burgess (RAFVR) missing presumed killed. No bodies were recovered and they have no known graves.
