Poperinghe New Military Cemetary, Belgium
1917-06-21: Bigwood died when the DH-4 he was in struck a telephone pole during a forced landing after the controls were shot away during an offensive patrol near Poperinghe. The pilot, 2Lt Robert Trattles (British) was injured, but survived the crash. He died a month later in another DH-4 crash.
