144 Squadron (Who Shall Stop Us). Hampden I aircraft P4345 struck barrage balloon cable at the Felixstowe Dock and crashed into a flour mill returning from a communications flight over Germany. Pilot Officer JF Andrews (RCAF)(Can), W/C JJ Watts DSO (RAF), Sgt(s) R Jolly DFM (RAF), R Winstanley (RAF) and one person on the ground (possibly D.J. Grayling) (CWGC) were killed.
