1918-03-28: Ok in B-626, SE5a after crashing near Chocques on an offensive patrol. 1918-04-02: SE5A C-1069 was damaged on offensive patrol. 1918-07-18: Whitney was shot up in combat in SE5a, B-186, but was OK. 1918-08-11: He was shot about and wounded in the wrist in combat force-landed at the 48 Sqn aerodrome. He took no further part in the war. He ended the war with five victories.
