Died in the crash of Oxford - x6555. "No. 657938 Sgt. Glover, K.L. took off in aircraft X.665 to give 1394906 Leading Aircraftman Smith, C.W. dual instruction and the aircraft was later observed to crash from a low altitude and burst into flames on impact about 4 1/2 miles N.W. of Innisfail. Both occupants were killed and the aircraft was totally damaged. A court of Inquiry is being held."
