Woodman was posted to the No.3 School of Military Aeronautics at Heliopolis, Greece on 1917-10-26, with further instruction at 193TS and 194TS, both at El Amriya, Egypt, He was posted to 63 Squadron (Mesopotamia) on 1918-09-07 to fly the DH-4. Nothing more was found concerning his wartime activities. Woodman died of Carbon Monoxide poisoning in Montreal, in 1932
