Scott served in France with the 5th Company, Canadian Engineers until his transfer to the RNAS on 1916-08-27. After flight training he was confirmed as a Flt. sub-Lieutenant 1916-11-27. He completed his flight training on 1917-03-14 and was taken on as an asst. Flight Instructor at Vendome, France.. He made Lieutenant 1918-01-01 and Captain 1918-05-01. He was moved to the unemployed list 1919-01-12. He returned to Canada and became a stockbroker in Montreal.
