"A" Able flying through the Eiffel Tower? (although this event likely happened, this photograph is likely fake.) It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. Cadet W L Thomas was appointed a 2nd Lt on 1917-08-02 and confirmed in his rank on 14 October. He was posted to France and joined 48 Squadron, at La Bellevue, on 1917-07-07. Days prior to Christmas 1916, the first deliveries of production F.2A Fighters were completed, No. 48 Squadron at Rendcomb the first squadron of the Royal Flying Corps to receive the type.
