"A" Able flying through the Eiffel Tower? (although this event likely happened, this photograph is likely fake.) It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. A surveyor by trade, Gilroy enlisted at Medicine Hat, Alberta on 1914-12-31. After serving with the 3rd Regiment of the Canadian Mounted Rifles, he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps and was promoted to temporary 2nd Lieutenant on 1917-08-13. Posted to 11 Sqn as an observer, he scored 7 victories flying the Bristol F.2b. Post-war he became an American citizen and lived in Michigan.
