Lawrie and his family emigrated to Canada in 1912, from Scotland, and settled in Toronto.1918-04-05: He was on leave from Camp Borden because of a heavy cold that prevented him from flying. He suddenly became seriously ill and was taken to the Toronto Military Hospital, Spadina Ave., where he died of pneumonia on 1918-04-07
