1918-06-04: Hamar died of injuries suffered as pilot in the crash of a JN4 in a flying accident at SoAF&G, Beamsville, His passenger was 1Lt WE Lambert of the USAAF, who was injured. Lambert may have been the instructor, or simply an observer.
