1917-07-10: Foster was slightly injured in Brisfit, A-7141; when he crashed on landing from a Close Offensive Patrol, due to his controls shot away. His air-gunner, 2Lt Henry James Day, (British) also slightly inj. 1917-08-23: Foster was killed as well as his air-gunner, Lt. David Grant Davidson. (Canadian) when his Brisfit crashed near the aerodrome and caught fire, on return from a Defensive Operational Patrol.
