1918-03-29: Dwyer was killed in a flying accident at 87CTS, Camp Talliafero, the RFC aerodromes at Ft.Worth Texas. He was flying alone in a JN-4 when it crashed upside down in a field northwest of the camp. The cause of his crash was unknown. His instructor noted to the inquiry into the crash that Dwyer 'was inclined to be reckless in his flying and had been cautioned'.
