File 332-111-18. 10th Battalion attached to the RFC. *L.S.* 1917-05-11: Davies' aircraft was shot down by AA fire. He jumped to his death from 600 feet when his machine burst into flames. It is assumed that his pilot 2Lt. Alfred William Mason (British) was killed by the AA fire. Davies was originally buried by the Germans in their cemetery but was exhumed and moved after the war.
