First King's Prize Winner (1911).No known grave. *S.L.* Clifford died in Brisfit, A-3352; brought down in aerial combat on an offensive patrol, East of Arras. 2Lt Clifford, the pilot and his air gunner 2Lt Henry Lea Tomkies (British) were both killed in the crash.
