1917-06-11 - The Bibby Mystery:
1917-06-11: Flight Sub-Lieutenant John Richard (Jack) Bibby, a Canadian from Niagara Falls, was killed today in a flying accident. He was serving in Malta at the RNAS Torpedo school. He was flight-testing Short 320 seaplane 8317 when it, without any warning, crashed into the sea. Bibby was killed by drowning, plus the injuries due the crash.
