11 Bomber Reconnaissance Squadron, Patricia Bay, British Columbia. Liberator aircraft 11121 was on a routine trip with passengers when it crashed and burned near Barkley Sound, British Columbia. Members of the crew; F/Os R.J. Martell, W.E. Davies, N.M. Popovitch, H.A. Lowe, WOs V.G. Crosson, J.B. Presse, FS D.W. Hope, and passengers; LACs L.H. Tull, R.V. Kitely, Cpl.s Nora Johnson, Norman Johnson, W. Hrysko, and Sergeant P.G. Bennett were also killed. Cpl. Nora Johnson and Cpl. Norman Johnson were sister and brother.
