3 Personnel Reception Depot, Bournemouth, England. One of three Canadians killed when a German ME-109 fighter/bomber aircraft attacked and hit the Anglo Swiss Hotel in Bournemouth. P/Os J.A. Epp and R.N. Bailey also killed. Shortly after this attack the enemy aircraft was shot down by two Spitfire aircraft.
