190 Squadron. Stirling IV aircraft LJ 829 lost over Holland during a daylight supply drop of panniers of paratroop and glider towing equipment. W/O(s) T.W. Allen and D.L. Brouse were also killed. Six of the crew, not Canadians, missing presumed killed. Addendum: When LJ 829 crashed at Doorworth, the complete crew of Sergeant E.F. Keen (R.A.F.) Flying Officer R.I. Matheson (R.C.A.F.), Pilot Officer R.A. Davies (R.A.A.F.), Pilot Officer K. Willett, (R.A.A.F.), W/O. D.L. Brouse ( R.C.A.F.), W/O. T.W. Allen (R.C.A.F.), L/Cpl. F. Rextrew, and Driver J.F. Leach were all killed. Detail provided by Bob Middleton of Killarney, Manitoba. Addendum: . P/O. R.A. Davis (RAAF), Sgt.s S.J. Cooke (RAF), and E.F. Keen (RAF) were also killed.
