190 Squadron. Stirling aircraft LJ 943 crashed nine miles south of Arnhem while dropping supplies to the 1st British Airborne Division. F/O(s) O.H. Antoft (RCAF), J.K. MacDonnell (RCAF), HA Thornington (RAF) Pilot Officer R.B. Herger (RCAF), and W/O L.I. Whitlock (RCAF) were killed. Addendum: The crew of Stirling aircraft LJ 982 and Stirling aircraft LJ 943 have not been identified correctly. When LJ 982 crashed at Doorworth, the complete crew of W/C G.E. Harrison (RAF), Pilot Officer J.F.G. De Cordoue (RCAF), WO. J.B. Brierly (RNZAF), W/O D.M. Mathewson (RNZAF), Flying Officer N. McKay (RAF), Flight Lieutenant N.E. Skinner (RAF), Flight Sergeant R. Percey (RAF),Army Air Dispatcher L/Cpl L.H. Caldecott (RASC) and Driver H. Gregory(RASC) were all killed.
