1913-10-21: RAeC cert.#666 from CFS Upavon. 1914-09-22: Flt. Lt Collet flew 200 miles to Dusseldorf and bombed the Zeppelin shed there. Despite being hit, he returned safely. For this act he received the Distinguished Service Order 1915-08-19: Collett died of injuries from an air crash at Imbros, Turkey.
