Busk was last seen flying his bomb-carrying Bristol Scout up the Gallipoli Peninsula to attack an enemy aerodrome. He failed to return.
Putting the claims and the losses together he probably fell to the guns of Fokker ace Hauptmann Buddecke.. Busk brought his Bristol Scout down in the sea, not far from the British fleet, but the aircraft sank and Busk was drowned before rescue vessel(s) could reach him.
