"A" Able flying through the Eiffel Tower? (although this event likely happened, this photograph is likely fake.) It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. Gardner was killed in a flying accident on 1915-01-19 while making a descent after a flight. His Maurice Farman biplane crashed and caught fire, and he was burned to death before he could be extracted. According to the evidence, the machine was flying perfectly and began to descend normally, but when about 100 ft. up, it suddenly dived almost vertically. On contact with the ground the engine was thrown forward on to the petrol tank and the wreck burst into flames.
