77 Squadron (Esse Potius Quam Videri). Halifax II aircraft JD 371 KN-O did not return from a trip to Nuremberg, Germany,shot down over Belgium by a night fighter. Pilot Officer A. Brannigan (RAF), FS(s) P.R. Humphries (RAF), R. Rodgers (RAF) and Sergeant A.G. Templeton (RAF) were also killed. Two others of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed. Addendum: - Aircraft JD 371 KN-O. There were three other RAF members of this crew who were Evaders, they were; Sgt(s) A.W. Beard, W.P. Catley, and W. Palmer.
