1918-03-10: 2nd-Lieutenant, RFC1918-07-13: Ryan stalled on a turn after take-off, and nose dived into the ground, near Blandford, Dorset. He was killed in the crash, but his observer/gunner Lt Thomas Walter Laybourne (British) was injured, but recovered.
