106 Squadron (Pro Libertate). Lancaster aircraft ND 585 went down in the woods near Florennes, Belgium during a night operation against Nuremberg, Germany. Sergeant J.P. Mackilligin (RAF), FS F. Thompson (RAF), and four others of the crew not Canadians were also killed. This was one of 108 Allied aircraft lost this night. addendum 2: See page 304. P/O. W.G. Moxey, Sgt.s E. H. Woods, C. A.
