1918-03-20: Franklin died eleven days before his 21st birthday.
While flying at 3,000 feet he attempted some basic aerobatics, and fell from his aeroplane. I was unable to find an inquest report which would have indicated whether this was equipment failure or failure of the pilot to fasten his safety belt.
