1918-07-18: Farrall died in N-2937, a Short Seaplane. He encountered hostile seaplanes whilst on patrol, and is missing, presumed dead. He was last seen making for land. Gunner Lt Joseph Albert Edward Vowles (British) is also missing, presumed dead.
The Short crashed 4m SW of Kentish Knock. The bodies were never found.
