77 Squadron (Esse Potius Quam Videri). Halifax aircraft was shot down at Uechelen, Holland during night operations over enemy-held territory. Six of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed. Sergeant Flight Engineer Dubetz was buried at Uechelen, exhumed, and reinterred in the Canadian Cemetery, Nijemegen, Holland.
Addendum: The squadron was based at Elvington when Halifax aircraft JB 783-N was shot down during a night raid. Sergeants A.R. Camburn (RAF), R.E. Hawkins (RAF), T.T. Jardine (RAF), and LK. Hendry (RAF) were also killed. Sgt. N.A. Fearneyhough (RAF) and A.J. Butlin (RAF) were taken Prisoners of War. This completes this crew list.
