1918-08-21: Bullock was lost from the Felixstowe flying boat when it banked because of enemy surface artillery firing at it. He fell into the sea and drowned because his safety harness was not secure. His body was recovered for burial. The engine failed immediately afterward and the flying boat crashed in the sea.
