It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. 609 West Riding Squadron (Tally Ho). Pilot Officer Buchanan was engaged in an attack against enemy tank concentrations when his Typhoon aircraft MN 494 was hit by flak. He was killed when his aircraft crashed at Tilly la Campagne, France.
