1918-07-15: Armstrong died in BE2c 8422 near Seaford, England. His student-pilot, 2Lt Harold Higgins got the aircraft into a flat spin and nosedived straight to the ground, before Armstrong could recover it. He succumbed to his injuries three days later. His student-pilot was also killed in the crash.
202TDS prepared pilots to fly the HP400 bomber.
