1919-03-29: Sullivan died in B-8807, Handley Page O/400; it crashed into trees at Forques, near Marquise on take off for a mail flight to the Army of Occupation, Cologne. Others on the aircraft were 2Lt Arthur Westall (British) DoI, AC1 GW Tucknott (British) injured, but recovered. Sullivan was part of the Army of Occupation in Cologne, Germany.
