252 Squadron. Beaufighter aircraft T 4881 was shot down during operations. It is believed the Beaufighter was shot down by German Captain Hans Marseille who was the top German ace in the West credited with 158 victories. This aircraft was one of 17 RAF fighter aircraft Capt. Marseille shot down this day.
