121 Canadian Squadron. Gruman Goose aircraft 925 lost between Sydney, Nova Scotia and Torbay, Newfoundland. F/O H.M. Arney and three passengers, Lieutenant Colonel A.A. Ernst, Lieutenant Commander F.R. Gow, and Major. H.B. Munro were also killed.

Grumman Goose Mk. II, RCAF (Serial No. 925), RCAF Station Borden, Ontario, 14 Aug 1940.
The Grumman G-21 Goose is an amphibious flying boat designed by Grumman to serve as an eight-seat "commuter" aircraft for businessmen in the Long Island area. The Goose was Grumman's first monoplane to fly, its first twin-engined aircraft, and its first aircraft to enter commercial airline service. During World War II, the Goose became an effective transport for the US military (including the United States Coast Guard), as well as serving with many other air forces. During hostilities, the Goose took on an increasing number of combat and training roles. it was primarily as a staff transport by the RCAF during the Second World War. Goose Mk. II 925

Purchased in the US under Contract CAN-2, carried US registration NX925 when delivered to Canada. Flew Montreal to Rockcliffe on 15 January 1941. Served with No. 121 (K) Squadron, RCAF Station Darthmouth, NS. Sunk at Vancouver on 15 December 1941, apparently recovered. Coded "EN-B" in summer of 1942, while with this unit. Reported as crashed November 1942.
