166 Squadron (Tenacity). Aircraft ED-422 was on a training exercise when the pilot overshot a landing and the aircraft crashed west of Dunkirk Farm, two miles north of Kirmington, Lincolnshire, England.

Twelve men were aboard for the flight, five were killed in the crash.
