1918-05-29: Heintzman was killed when his JN-4 spun in off a steep bank at 150 feet, from which he was unable to recover before it crashed and caught fire. Cadet Samuel Rosenthal (RAF No.154067) was flying the aircraft at the time, under instruction, and died of his injuries.
