1919-01-07: Kearney died in DH-9, D-471; when shortly after leaving the ground he was seen to get into difficulties after a flat turn at low altitude, and spin into ground, near Stonehenge. His gunner-observer, Sergeant Richard Ross Harper died of his injuries later that day.
