Pilot Flight Lieutenant (the Flight Sergeant) DW Almon (RCAF) baled out, wounded in ankle before his aircraft crashed near El Adem, Libya. He survived and was taken Prisoner of War, held first in Italian POW camp PG 59 in Sevigliano, Italy, March 1942 and later moved to Stalag Luft 4, Poland
