Sopwith Admiralty Type 861 Seaplane, No. 851: first flight 1914-11-01: it dived into the water off Netley shortly after take-off on its first flight. It was salvaged and re-built. The Sopwith test pilot Victor Mahl survived the crash, Alston was killed.
